This is a wonderful trip to beautiful Sapa of Lao Cai. Within two day time, you will have chance to visit some major beauty spots of Sapa including 2 villages Cat Cat, Sin Chai, and Bac Ha is largest Sunday makret in the area as well as the most colorful one.
Get started: Taxi will pick you up at your hotel and transfer to Hanoi Railway Station for the night train at 9:15 PM to get to Lao Cai Station. Overnight on the train.
DAY 1: LAO CAI – SAPA – CAT CAT – SAPA:
Get picked up from Lao Cai then transfer to Sapa. Check in hotel and have breajfast at local restaurant. Trek around 10 km to visit 2 villages of the Black H'mong (CatCat and SinChai).
Picnic lunch at a waterfall and this is a chance to see the hydroelectric power station established by the French. Jeep from Catcat back to Sapa roughly 4:00 PM. Stay the night in Hotel
DAY 2: SAPA – BAC HA MARKET – LAO CAI STATION:
Bac Ha is the largest Sunday market in the area as well as the most colorful one. Here you can meet mostly Flower Hmong and then Phu La, Black Dao, Tay, Nung minorities. The market offers a variety of local products, which could not be found in others areas. The animal market will be also very interesting.
After having breakfast, you will travel by car to Bac Ha, which is 70 km Northeast of Lao Cai. The ride is relatively flat from Lao Cai to Bao Nhai, where you will be taken through rural area. Bac Ha is the largest market in the area, situated inside the small town of Bac Ha. On every Sunday mornings, it is literally a riot of color as many different ethnic groups such as Flower Hmong, Phu La, Black Dao, Tay, Nung minorities... gather to buy and sell.
After spending the whole morning exploring the market, your lunch will be served in a local restaurant (paid by yourself). After, explore the local village of Tay, Dzay.. then get back to Lao Cai station
Dinner at Lao Cai station (paid by yourself). Overnight is on the train. End of service.
